Eco Friendly Technology Pdf

Eco-friendly technologies, alternative energy source, greenhouse, environment. In some areas of green technologies such as water recycling.

Ecotechnology is an applied science that seeks to fulfill human needs while causing minimal ecological disruption, by harnessing and manipulating natural forces to leverage their beneficial effects. Ecotechnology integrates two fields of study: the 'ecology of technics' and the 'technics of ecology,' requiring an understanding of the structures and processes of ecosystems and societies. All sustainable engineering that can reduce damage to ecosystems, adopt ecology as a fundamental basis, and ensure conservation of biodiversity and sustainable development may be considered as forms of ecotechnology.

Ecotechnology emphasizes approaching a problem from a holistic point of view. For example, remediation of rivers should not only consider one single area. Rather, the whole catchment area, which includes the upstream, middle stream and downstream sections, should be considered.

Construction can reduce its impact on nature by consulting experts on the environment.

Sustainable development requires the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies which are both efficient and adapted to local conditions. Ecotechnology allows improvement in economic performance while minimizing harm to the environment by:[1]Generic key office home student 2016 for mac pro.

  • increasing the efficiency in the selection and use of materials and energy sources
  • control of impacts on ecosystems
  • development and permanent improvement of cleaner processes and products
  • eco-marketing
  • introducing environmental management systems in the production and services sectors
  • development of activities for increasing awareness of the need for environmental protection and promotion of sustainable development by the general public

During Ecotechnics '95 - International Symposium on Ecological Engineering in Östersund, Sweden, the participants agreed on the definition: 'Ecotechnics is defined as the method of designing future societies within ecological frames.'

All of us seem to have forgotten what fresh air smells like. This is because over the generations, we have polluted our environment tremendously. If we want to preserve water, soil and the forests for our future generations, and if we want to live a life free of diseases and disasters, it is imperative that we try and adopt environmental practices that are eco-friendly and efficient.

In order to retain our resources and conserving them for the future, we need to use them cautiously.

Eco-efficiency means to minimize the use of raw materials, energy, to reduce pollution level by recycling waste materials and using renewable materials. Therefore, efficient and eco-friendly technology is essential to safeguard the environment, enhance productivity and reducing cost to achieve sustainable use of resources.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in 1992 aimed at creating more goods and services by using minimum natural resources and creating less waste and pollution. This concept was coined as eco- efficiency. It includes:

i. Use of renewable resources

ii. Minimum use of natural resources

ADVERTISEMENTS:

iii. Reduction in the use of fossil fuel/energy

iv. Reduction in the release of toxic substances

v. Improved recyclability to save natural resources

vi. Greater durability of products

ADVERTISEMENTS:

vii. Creating more goods and services

This would demand cleaner and more efficient technologies such as using non-conventional source of energy, solar water heater than burning fossil fuel or fuel wood.
